How to Steam Crab Legs ...

  • Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Place a steamer basket over the boiling water. Place crab legs in steamer basket. Put lid on to cover and steam 5-10 minutes. Do not submerge in water. Plain water is recommended, not seasoned. 

  • Remove and serve with melted butter, Old Bay seasoning, and of course your Karen’s Spice of choice. We generally use Karen’s Original Blend on every meal served at the restaurant.

Garlic Butter:

  • 2 lbs Butter Melted

  • 2 oz Fresh Garlic Cloves

  • 1 Tablespoon Granulated Garlic

Caution: Do not blend on high, butter will explode if too hot. Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend on low or until garlic is thoroughly ground.

If you don’t have a steaming pot, place small amount of water, and bring it to a rolling boil, then add crabs. Shrimp should be added (shell on 3 minutes) or shell off (1-2 min).
  • Remember: Karen’s Inspired Blend's are used as a topical seasoning for shellfish any a marinade type for any other meats, fish or poultry.
